Prosthodontics

Inlays & Onlays

Instead of having fillings, broken teeth can be restored with indirect restorations like inlays or onlays. With our new CAD/CAM CEREC system, they can now be fabricated in one day. These restorations are more durable and are usually made of porcelain.

Crowns

A crown is a hard protective covering that is placed over a weakened tooth to hold the tooth together and prevent further damage to the tooth. The crown can be made of a variety of materials, typically porcelain or metallic in nature. We do conventional porcelain fused to metal crowns or the more aesthetic full porcelain crowns and porcelain veneers. Full porcelain crowns these days are much stronger and look like natural teeth.

Bridges

Bridges are prosthesis using crowns, connecting them together to replace missing teeth. They can be metallic or full porcelain or in combinations.

Veneers

A veneer is an aesthetic porcelain shell placed on the surface of a tooth to improve its overall appearance. Veneers can be used to mask tooth surface irregularities and discolourations.

Dentures

Missing teeth can also be replaced using conventional removable dentures. These can be in the form of acrylic (plastic), cobalt chromium (metal) or Valplast (flexible denture). Do discuss the pros and cons of each material with our dentists.
